Garden Slug in a Hawaiian Garden
© Roger Harris, 2009
Slugs in the garden can be baited with raw potato, beer, a mix of water and yeast or the decomposing bodies of other slugs and snails. Overturn unglazed pots on the shady sides of garden plants, ensuring there is enough space for slugs to crawl underneath the pot. Invert spent grapefruit halves to attract slugs in teh garden as they can enjoy a triple whammy of pleasure - citrus, moisture and shade.
