Ask Mr. Pest Control - My Squash, Cucumber and Melon Leaves Have Pale Green Patches and Are Wilting

Thursday July 2, 2009
Thanks so much for your question. Your crops are most likely infested with Squash Bugs. One tell-tale sign of Squash Bugs is bright orange eggs laid on the underside of the crop's leaves. if you see any bugs crawling near the eggs and crush them, they will give off a strong smell.

So, how do you control Squash Bugs?

Thanks for visitng and your comment Robert. Its amazing to me how some pests like rats, roaches and flies are so adaptable, they are universal from Dublin to Dubai to Cape Darnley. Are there any particular pests in Ireland that might not exist outside of there or The United Kingdom?
